1. An Introduction to The Techniques of PhotoTherapy 

An insightful and participatory introduction into the techniques of phototherapy.  This workshop is designed for art therapy students, practicing art therapists, and mental health practitioners.

This three hour workshop will walk you through the basic techniques of phototherapy and show you how to apply them when working with clients.  You will also learn about the benefits of using photographs in therapy as a directional tool and how phototherapy can complement and enhance other therapies when used in conjunction with each other.

This workshop is taught by Kelly Gauthier, Professional Art & Photo Therapist and Photographer, who believes in learning by experiencing.  As a result you will be given the opportunity to experience phototherapy first hand by engaging in the process using your own personal images as well as those provided for.  

This workshop will provide you with the knowledge and skills you will need in order to begin implementing phototherapy in your practice and with your clients.

November 5th, 2016 from 9-12pm

November 16th, 2016 from 6-9pm

November 26th, 2016 from 9-12pm 

December 7th, 2016 from 6-9pm

Cost: $245/per person 

Space is limited to 20 participants.  Participants are required to bring 5 personal photographs (originals and copies).  All other materials needed for the workshop will be provided.  Location TBD

 

 

 

2. How to Use Projected Imagery in Therapy

An inclusive introduction outlining the specialized techniques involved in using Projected Imagery in therapy.  This one day workshop is designed for practicing art therapists and mental health practitioners.  (An Introduction To The Techniques of PhotoTherapy is a prerequisite)

This incredible one of a kind workshop and its specialized techniques will enhance and magnify your knowledge of phototherapy while introducing you to the skills and insights needed for using projected imagery with various populations.

This workshop will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge needed to conduct projected imagery in your practice and with your clients.

December 3rd, 2016 from 9-5pm

December 10th, 2016 from 9-5pm

January 14th, 2017 from 9-5pm

January 28th, 2016 from 9-5pm 

 

Cost: $595/per person 

Space is limited to 40 participants.  Participants are welcome to bring their own images (must be on a USB stick) for use in demonstrations. All other required materials will be supplied.  Location will be dependent upon the number of participants enrolled.

 

 

3.  Remembering PhotoTherapy For Dementia 

A  wonderful workshop introducing you to the benefits of using PhotoTherapy and Projected Imagery for Dementia.  This workshop is designed for practicing art therapists and mental health practitioners. (An Introduction To The Techniques of PhotoTherapy is prerequisite)

This three hour workshop is designed to help strengthen your skills when using photographs specific to clients with dementia by introducing you to projected imagery and the benefits of using larger scale images for enhancing memory and connection.

This workshop will provide you with the basic skills needed for applying projected imagery into your practice and with clients living with dementia.
